Scope

This standard specifies the general principles, classification, naming, production quality management, applicability research, stability, packaging, storage and transportation of empty capsules. This standard applies to empty capsules used for oral capsule preparations.

General Principles

Empty capsules are cylindrical in shape, consisting of caps and bodies that can be fitted and locked together, forming a hard and elastic empty shell. Empty capsules should have a smooth surface, uniform color, neat cut edges, no deformation, and no peculiar odor.
